Summer Saturday Night Thrills At Tullyroan Oval

A blockbuster night of short oval action awaits at Tullyroan Oval this Saturday, 20th June 2026 at 6.30pm, as five formulas take to the track for the final meeting before the summer break. With championships, memorial trophies and team pride all on the line, the stage is set for a dramatic night of race action.

1600 Rookie Bangers
The headline attraction is the 1600 Rookie Bangers and their fiercely contested Irish Teams Championship. This three a side tactical showdown blends teamwork with spectacular crashing, and defending champions Team Golly from Limavady arrive determined to hold onto their crown. They’ll face a serious challenge from the in form Bomb Squad, led by Alan Haugh of The Birches, who come into the event after impressive runner up finishes in both the European Championship and the Irish Open. Bad Company are former winners of the title, and along with Team Invasion and The Mob NI will be hoping for victory. With reputations on the line and plenty of metal likely to be bent, this one promises fireworks from the drop of the green flag.

Superstox
The Superstox compete for the prestigious Neil Davison Memorial Cup, a trophy held in deep regard by drivers and fans alike in memory of the much missed former racer. Defending champion Stephen Stewart hopes to return to defend his title, but he faces a formidable field. World and NI Points Champion Steven Haugh is expected to be a major contender, while multiple title holder Jordan Robinson brings British, Irish and Internations honours to the grid. Add in the recent strong form of Dean Catherwood and a recent hat trick performance from Troy Crawford, and the battle for the silverware looks wide open.

Junior Productions
In the Junior Productions, the rising stars of the sport compete for the Moffett Shield, presented annually by the long standing racing supporters, the Moffett family. Defending champion Andrew Hawe will be pushed hard by British and National Champion Leyton Hughes, while Casey Cherry, Jack Morrison and Ryan Berry have all shown the pace to challenge. One to watch is newcomer Luke Goligher, who stunned the field last time out by winning both heat and final.

Support Programme
The Stock Rods also feature on the programme in their final outing before heading across the water for the European Championship at Ipswich, followed by the British Championship up at Aghadowey. With major titles looming, drivers will be eager to build momentum before the break. Declan O'Connor has been on top form of late and will be keen for another victory, alongside NI Points Championship leader Sam McNeice and British Champion Siobhan Martin.
Rounding out the evening are the ever entertaining 1400 Stock Cars, in their final round of the 2025/26 NI Points Championship. These ironed up, armoured machines guarantee full contact thrills, and with World Champion and Points Champion-elect Curtis Greer among the favourites, fans can expect plenty of heavy hits and high drama. As always, they could very well steal the show!
