Sad News - Mervyn Emerson

Everyone at DMC Race Promotions were shocked to learn of the sudden passing of our 2.0 Hot Rods driver Mervyn Emerson.

Mervyn was one of the most popular drivers around the local raceways, enjoying his racing with us initially in the Lightning Rods formula and more recently in the 2.0 Hot Rods. Mervyn was always one to let his driving do the talking, and he represented DMC both at home and right across the British Isles in the perfect manner for many years.

He was delighted to take a podium place in the final of the Hoosier Challenge Series towards the end of the 2022 season, but his finest hour came back in 2011 when he won the Lightning Rods European Championship in Birmingham.

To his partner Rachel and family, his parents Billy and Eileen, brother Stephen and the wider family circle, everyone at DMC Race Promotions would like to offer our sincere condolences at this sad time.
