World Series Climax for National Hot Rods At Tullyroan

The National Hot Rods top the bill at Tullyroan Oval this Saturday evening, May 30th, as the drivers contest the final round of 2025/26 World Series NI.

The final qualifier follows a slightly different format than usual, with two graded heats as normal before the final is lined up in points scoring order from throughout the campaign. Series Champion-elect Glenn Bell misses this meeting due to holiday, but there will still be a thrilling battle for victory between a whole posse of top drivers. John Christie looked on top form last Saturday as he took a heat win and a very close second in the final, whilst Adam Maxwell and the outgoing NI Champion Jeff Riordan will be keen to get amongst the victories. Shane Murray, Ian Riordan, Drew McKeown and Derek Martin will also be keen to finish the series on a high.

The Junior Productions race for the Tullyroan Challenge Cup, using the reversed grid format, and there will also be a great welcome back for Leyton Hughes after the successful defence of his National Championship gold roof recently. Leyton is sure of a rousing welcome home before the meeting and he will then be a hot favourite for the Challenge Cup win. Ryan Berry and Jack Morrison chased Leyton home in the National title race, and they will be right in contention again this week. Add in former British Champion Casey Cherry, Charlie Hill, Keegan Turtle, Andrew Hawe, Jake Barnett and Jack Murphy and the scene is set for a great scrap for victory.

Thew all-action 1400 Stock Cars contest the DMC Gold Cup, and when the big bumpers go crashing in picking a winner is always difficult. World Champion Curtis Greer has been on fantastic form so far in 2026, and he will be difficult to shift should he get his nose ahead. The closed grid final will be a great spectacle, with winner last time out Gary Freeburn, Michael Logan and Josh McKinstry other possible victors.

World, European, Best in Britain and NI Points Champion Steven Haugh will head the Superstox entry, with British and Irish Champion Jordan Robinson plus Jamie McCann and Dean Catherwood amongst those trying to knock him off his perch as king of the scene. Paddy Murphy, Conor Murphy, Sean Mark and Stephen Stewart are other possible winners should they get the right breaks.

Completing the line up will be the ultra-competitive Stock Rods division. Declan O'Connor took the win at their last meeting up at Aghadowey, and he has impressed over the past few months. Likewise has been Darragh O'Shea and he will again challenge alongside regular stars like British Champion Siobhan Martin, Irish Champion Sam McNeice, Stevie McNiece, Harry Minish and Mark Foster,

The first green flag falls at 6.30pm.
